Nancy Bell knows how to grow things. As a master gardener, she loves the hard work of collaboration with the earth: the creation, design, and patience required to grow a garden. Nancy applies this same attention and care to her clients as she helps them meet their financial goals.

Nancy’s financial knowledge runs deep. She started in her mid-20s with a discount brokerage firm and then took her career deeper into the securities industry at Northern Trust. Over the course of 12 years she helped develop their full service brokerage platform and subsequently moved into managing investments for clients. Later she worked at Harris Private Bank gaining additional investment and financial planning experience and brings that, along with boundless energy and passion, to her work today.

As a member of the Wealth Management Team, she provides comprehensive financial planning and integrated investment strategies to help her clients navigate life’s transitions, particularly with regard to pre and post retirement planning. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, member of the Financial Planning Association, DuPage Estate Planning Council and the Chicago Estate Planning Council. After 25 years in the industry, personal finance is a true passion for Nancy, who understands people’s needs drive every financial decision and transaction.

Nancy is also committed to helping people whose lives have been upended by a traumatic event, such as divorce, which motivated her to get Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ designation. She is a Trained Mediator having completed the 40 hours of court approved mediation training provided through Center for Conflict Resolution. These skills support her Fellow membership with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, a team of professionals that help individuals going through the emotional, financial and legal aspects of divorce.

In keeping with the firm’s commitment of community service, Nancy serves on the Marianjoy President’s Advisory Committee and provides educational and community support through her volunteer work with University of Illinois Master Gardener extension program.

“Our roles as wealth advisors are more than managing finances,” Nancy says. “We help clients navigate life’s transitions and help them grow through the challenges. For me, this is a perfect synergy of relationships, money management, and business development.”

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
